Last week I was invited to tour a large (at least to me) b-d operation in Garland. It is a company that runs a small fleet of trucks. The gentleman managing the place is quite a nice fellow and gave me over an hour of his time showing off his plant. They only produce for internal use. I wanted to know how much interest there is in the group to have a tour of this small plant. If you are interested, please reply back to me and I'll try to get something organized.

OK - based on the replies and posts above there is plenty of interest. I contacted Robert (the guy in charge of the operation) and requested a tour. Unfortunately, he had a death in his family last week and is trying to catch back up with work. I'll follow up on this again in 3-4 weeks and post a date/time/address.

Good evening Andrew: I would like to introduce myself, Judith Anne Sturrock, a financial consultant located in downtown Dallas. I have been retained by a group of investors/renewable fuel enthusiasts to put together a business plan (which I do on a daily basis) for funding an operation such as yours. This project has grown legs and wings, and through my due-diligence and reporting has come to the crossroads of a much larger and more labor intense plan. With that said, I would like to speak with you at your convenience? Working for a renewable future, Judith Anne Sturrock President/CEO LAPCO (Life After Petroleum) 1118 S. Still was unable to nail Robert down on a specific date. There will be plenty of notice - probably 4+ weeks - so just keep checking this board and I will post a date/time soon.

Hello everyone, I'm a home bio producer in Tatum, Texas. About 2 hours east of Dallas. I'm brand new to the forum but look forward to meeting folks as well. Just a little about me, I'm a power plant production tech and during my off hours a bio freak. I have a small unit but really works very well. I produce 30 gallons at a time and it takes me about 8 hours from loading the machine to putting it in the truck. That is if the feed stock is free of water. It's taken me some time and alot of thought but my system is fully automated to the point I only spend about an hour and a half on each batch. The rest is handled by the PLC and my laptop.
As for the tour of the plant I would love to be a part of that but off days are a chore due to shift work. If a day can be arranged I sure would like to see this place.
