I just got a Barrel of Methenol from Reeder in south east Fort Worth. $125 plus $20 deposit on the drum. No worries about business/personal use. Just asked for a copy of Drivers license. Even took my check. Loaded it for me on my truck.
Edited:
Should have said South East Ft Worth

Here they are: www.reederdistributors.com/5450 Wilbarger St Fort Worth, TX 76119 (817) 429-5957 Hours: 6:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. M-F For more info contact Denise Noble at ext. 218. I confirmed that the price is still $125 as of today and that you can bring your own drum or pay $20 drum deposit. This place is close to me and about $25 cheaper than what I am currently paying, but I don't pay a drum deposit, the methanol gets delivered to my garage, and I get to keep the drum. Still, I might use them next time.

I went to Reeder today and traded an empty drum for one full of methanol for $125. It was painless to deal with them and they even took a personal check for payment. Trasferring the methanol from the drum in the truck to an empty one in my garage was easier than expected and I only used a cheap siphon pump. Reeder also sells Bio Kleen, a diesel biocide used to prevent algae growth in storage tanks. I did not check the price but a 16 oz bottle treats over 900 gallons. So if you plan to store some biodiesel for a while, it won't be a bad idea to treat is with Bio Kleen.

I went back to Reeder today. The 55 gal drum of methanol went up $27.50 since May. The new price is $152.50. They blamed the price increase on a shortage of methanol since it is being used to make biodiesel. They are expecting another jump in the price at the begining of next year.
