I bought some methanol from Ian Tucker down in Waco last weekend. He's charging $2.00/gal or $100 for a 55 gal. drum full. He's trying to figure out whether it would be worthwhile to go into business as a methanol distributor. If he can move 3,000 gallons per month it would be worthwhile for him. Meanwhile, I really like helping out a fellow biodieseler and getting a great price in the bargain. I think we ought to support his endeavor as much as we can. He said that if several of us want it, he would be willing to bring a load up to us, instead of us all going down there. He is a swell guy. He posts on the infopop forum biodiesel.infopop.cc/groupee/forums/a/cfrm/f/498605551so you can PM him if you want to contact him.

I did message Ian earlier. If anyone wants to get some let me know maybe I can get him to come to the DFW area. I just need one 55gal drum.

I've talked to Ian on several occasions and I'm sure if we could get enough guys (maybe 3) that need 55 gallons or so, he'd come up this way.

I'd go for a drumfull. Last time I got some from him, he manually pumped it out of his drum into mine. I bet he's got a better system than that now, though.

Nothing from Ian yet. I also sent email to Bill. I put my last drop of bio in the truck today, so I would like to get some methanol ASAP.

I called Bill Brzezinski from VP Racing Fuels. He will be in the DFW area this Wednesday. I ordered a 55 gal drum. If you need a drum this week, give him a call.
