Meet 'n' Greet from 12-02-06 minutes (more like points of interest)
Rich started off by heating a batch of WVO (waste veggie oil) to 130*F+ for reacting, we did a titration, we mixed methoxide, and started reacting the batch.
While reacting, we started talking about different titration methods and quality tests. We did the 27ml methanol with 3ml of finished BD (biodiesel) quality test of Mike's fuel he brought with excellent results (great quality fuel there Mike). Rich showed some testing equipment he had.
We looked at Centerline"s (a.k.a. Clint's) equipment pictures. He has a SS (stainless steel) reactor with a mixer, and some different ideas on the wash tank. So far he's having great luck with his equipment, but wants to reduce the size of his "paddles" on the mixer.
{{{anyone willing, please post threads on your testing and quality checking procedures for anyone whom can't remember or didn't attend}}}
I talked about a company plan...
My partner (wife's uncle) and I are going to start a company. We will get a renderer's license and seek bulk storage. Our plan is to have 5,000 to 10,000 gallons of WVO storage available then to seek out contracts for WVO. The idea is to give all BDers a place to get as much WVO as they want at a reasonable price (if you contact a rendering company they'll quote you $0.17 to $0.25 per pound or more for WVO (or $1.19 to $1.75 per gallon)). My partner and I have the room for storage and dewatering and at this time are only looking for investors. I will start another thread entitled: "Unlimited WVO Project Company" detailing the outline and asking for input and comments.
We finished will lunch and said our goodbyes.
(note, my memory isn't all that good and I may have forgotten to mention something important, as always, please feel free to post your comments or suggestions.)
